Diary of an idea.

A little while ago, I came across this great designer who makes woven necklaces.

I was really inspired. I have made very similar things in the past, but they never seemed to work as well as the Wwave ones. Mine were crocheted, and seemed very heavy, and rigid. Not to be put off, I decided to try again. This time using knotting techniques. I bought myself a book, and started sampling.

I then started trying out some ideas with leather thong.

and also with twine.

Again, the knotting looks, and feels heavy, and I wasn't happy with it. I liked the idea of taking the knots  and using them in a way that looks a lot lighter.
