Happy New Year.

I always quite like the start of the new year, making resolutions, and planning what I would like to achieve in the next 12 months. I feel quite sad taking the decorations down, but doing a spring clean is always therapeutic. Placing the lovely new things I received for Christmas... mmm, Im getting a warm glow just thinking about it. I have transfered all the need-to-know dates into my crisp new diary, which has also given me a chance to look over my reading list of 2011.

Secrets of the Flesh: a life of Colette. Judith Thurman.
The Great Gatsby. F Scott Fitzgerald.
Even the dogs. Jon Mcgregor.
The Queen of Whale Quey. Kate Summerville.
Anna Karenina. Leo Tolstoy.
Robinson Crusoe. Daniel Defoe.
A Room With A View. E M Forster.
A Passage To India. E M Forster.
One Day. David Nicholls.
Any Human Heart. William Boyd.
Significant Others Creativity and Intimate Partnership. Chadwick and De Courtivron.
Lord Of The Flies. William Golding.
Greyson Perry: Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Girl. Greyson Perry and Wendy Jones.

I have decided I must read more in 2012. Also, must watch more films, less TV. Plan an exercise regime.
Start a pottery class. Do more work in my sketch books. Go camping more. Take more photos. Make more lists.
